SOLAR EPC · PROJECT AND CONTRACT CONTROL
Run the contract, not the spreadsheet.
Arka is the project system for solar EPC contractors: the resource, the schedule, the running-account bill and the audit trail on one spine, built for the way Indian EPC actually bills.
The day is filed with photographs the site actually captured. Nothing is uploaded from a desk.
A scripted walkthrough of the real workflows. No live data.
THE FIELD: The day is filed with photographs the site actually captured. Nothing is uploaded from a desk. THE APPROVAL: Approved with remarks. Approved is a state with a name and a time on it. THE BILL: GST on the full value of the supply, TDS on the value excluding GST, each rate stored as applied. Every technical label explains itself where it stands: one tap, plain words. THE RECORD: Every event lands in a log that only grows. Corrections are new rows, never edits.
THE WALKTHROUGH
Two minutes of the actual product.
Not a mock and not a slide deck. A bill of quantities, a running account bill with its tax worked out line by line, an approval that parks until somebody with the authority signs it, and the record underneath all three.
Recorded in a demonstration organisation. Every name, figure and document on screen belongs to it.
THE VERTICALS
One contract chain. Five generators.
Resource, schedule, rupee, record: the chain does not change when the generator does. What changes is the physics at the top of it, and that is the only part each vertical rebuilds.
- ArkaSolarThe sun, and the rays it throws. Fire, among the five elements.Design tools are mature. Running the contract is not.
- VayuWindThe wind, and the god who is the wind. Air.Resource software is strong and forty years old. The contractor still bills from a spreadsheet.
- KoshaStorageThe treasury, the vessel that holds what is put in it. Akasha, the space that holds. No purpose-built project system exists. Augmentation and degradation are tracked by hand.
- VarunaGreen hydrogenThe god of the waters, and hydrogen is the maker of water.Very large capex, no sector software at all, and the buyers already work in the other three.
- IkshuBagasse cogenerationSugarcane itself, the crop the fuel falls out of. Earth. The plant goes up in the window between crushing seasons. What a mill lacks is a schedule and a bill that answer to that window.
WHO RUNS ON IT
Built on a real contract. Waiting for its first logo.
Arka was built and proven against the full record of a real solar EPC contract: the bill of quantities, the running-account bills, the tax on every line and the record behind them. It has no paying customers yet, and this band will not pretend otherwise. Client names go here when they are ours to publish, and not before.
- 8,760hours simulated per yield assessment
- 23roles, isolation enforced in the database
- 3satellite datasets cross-checked live
- 0figures on an issued invoice that anyone can change, including us
SHEET 01 · THE DRAWING
A project you can read like a drawing.
EPC teams live inside drawings, so the product is drawn like one. Sites, arrays, schedules and money sit on one sheet, and every figure on the sheet traces back to the line that produced it.
Resource
Three independent satellite datasets, cross-checked live for the exact coordinates of the site. Disagreement between them is measured and printed, not assumed away.
Layout
Ground-mount rows packed by pitch and shading. The simulation walks all 8,760 hours of a year, sun position by sun position.
Energy
P50, P90 and P99 energy with an uncertainty budget that states every term it carries and marks which are measured and which are assumed.
Components
Reads the .PAN and .OND files manufacturers actually ship, fingerprints the exact bytes, and keeps them so every forecast can name the file that made it.
THE PLAN
- Critical path with float, computed in-house, checked against textbook cases
- Dependency loops refused with the exact chain named
- Messy Excel plans imported with every problem flagged before a single row is written
THE SITE
- DPRs tied to tasks, quantities and photographs
- Approvals with remarks, delegation when an approver is away
- A stamp means something here: approved is a state with a name and a time on it
THE RECORD
- Row-level isolation between organisations, enforced below the application
- Append-only history on every governed change
- Least-privilege by default: a site engineer never sees a rupee figure, and it is the database that refuses, not the screen
AFTER DARK · THE YIELD INSTRUMENT
The night shift runs the numbers.
While the site sleeps, the engine re-walks the year hour by hour: sun geometry, transposition, cell temperature, inverter limits. The same published physics the industry’s desktop tools use, so your number stands next to a consultant’s without apology.
- PVGIS, NASA POWER and NSRDB fetched live, never bundled and stale
- Nineteen years of satellite record behind the long-term view
- Every assumption named on the report it feeds
MONEY AND STATUTE
Built for the way Indian EPC actually bills.
Running-account billing, the frozen document behind it, and the two statutory rates every Indian contractor argues about. Each rate is stored on the transaction with the value that applied, so a bill raised last year still explains itself this year.
Running-account bills through draft, submitted, approved and paid, built from the bill of quantities rather than typed in again.
Issuing a bill stamps the tax point and freezes its figures and wording in the database, where even our own keys cannot rewrite them. Corrections are credit notes, so what was billed never changes shape.
Retention and recoveries are deductions from the payment, never from the taxable value. The tax is charged on the full value billed, at the rate stored on that transaction, never re-derived later from a rate that has since changed.
Deducted at 1 percent for individuals and 2 for companies, on the value excluding GST where the tax is shown separately, with the statutory reference and the rate stamped on the entry as they stood that day.
A question mark beside every technical label opens a plain-words explanation where the term stands, because the people reading these screens are engineers and accountants, not software people.
Nothing in this table can be edited or deleted, by anyone, including us. Corrections are new rows.

PRICING
One product. The plans differ in one number.
Every plan is the whole system: the planner, the yield engine, the financial suite, field reports, approvals and the record. What changes between them is how many projects can run at once.
Prices in INR, billed monthly, cancel any time. Every plan starts as a 14-day trial and the trial asks for no card.
THE REGISTER
Open a sheet.
Arka is the solar product and it is live. The other verticals are on the same drawing, in the order the market lacks tools for them.
Any EPC contract can run as a project today, a bagasse cogeneration job included. A vertical earns its own name when the sector needs its own physics, not just its own word.
